I’m Yener Yardim. I have been building software since 2002, much of it in finance: core banking at Butterfield, payments at Official Payments, analytics for bank executives at Deluxe, and lending and investment platforms at Wells Fargo Capital Finance and, most recently, a global investment manager. Through PiriGram I take on a small number of consulting projects and build my own products.
I take on a small number of consulting projects at a time. Most involve .NET and Azure systems, and the teams that bring me in usually want an architect who also writes the code.

I build my own products too, and write up how each one is made. Nodal90 runs on the same .NET, Azure and PostgreSQL stack I build for clients; PopSkip is a TypeScript game with a solver that runs on the phone.

PopSkip
A puzzle played on sheets of bubble wrap. After each pop you jump to the next bubble, three ahead in a straight line or two on the diagonal, and never onto one you have already popped. Pop the whole sheet to finish the roll. It sounds easy until four bubbles are left and none of them can be reached.

I’m Yener Yardim, a software engineer and architect in Los Angeles. Away from the keyboard I skipper a Catalina sailboat called Sea Sharp (yes, like C#) and play guitar. Until last year I was in a Turkish rock band.
I’ve been writing code since the days of Turbo Pascal and Gopher. My career started at CyberSoft in Ankara. In 2002 I built my first product of my own, a Turkish discussion forum called tartisiyorum.com, and later sold it. From there my work took me to CAS Americas, now part of Accenture, as a CRM consultant; to Butterfield in Bermuda for core banking; to Official Payments for government and utility payments; to Deluxe for financial analytics for small and mid-size banks; and then to Wells Fargo Capital Finance, Preston Ventures, Bilflo and, most recently, a global investment manager, where I have built greenfield platforms.
As AI changed what a small team can build, I formed PiriGram to build my own products and to help businesses with their hardest software problems. The name comes from Piri Reis, the Ottoman admiral whose 1513 map is the oldest surviving map to show the Americas; “gram” means something drawn. He drew coastlines. I sail by them, and I draw systems.
